Jeff Eberwein - Star Equity Holdings

Jeffrey Eberwein

Executive Chairman

Mr. Eberwein has over 25 years of Wall Street experience and is the Founder and CEO of Lone Star Value Management (“LSVM”), a U.S. investment advisory firm. Prior to founding LSVM in January 2013, Mr. Eberwein was a Portfolio Manager at Soros Fund Management from January 2009 to December 2011 and Viking Global Investors from March 2005 to September 2008. In April 2018, Mr. Eberwein became CEO of Hudson Global, Inc., a global recruitment company, and has been on the Board since May 2014. Previously, Mr. Eberwein served as Chairman of the Board for AMERI Holdings, Inc., an IT services company, from May 2015 until August 2018, ATRM Holdings, Inc., a modular building company, from January 2013 until September 2019, and Crossroads Systems, Inc., from April 2013 until May 2016. Mr. Eberwein also served as a director of The Goldfield Corporation from May 2012 until May 2013, On Track Innovations Ltd. from December 2012 until March 2014, and NTS, Inc. from December 2012 until its sale to a private equity firm was completed in June 2014. Mr. Eberwein served on the Board of Hope for New York, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to serving the poor and marginalized in New York City from 2011 until 2014 where he was Treasurer and on the Executive Committee. Mr. Eberwein earned a MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BBA with High Honors from The University of Texas at Austin.

Mitch Quain - Star Equity Holdings

Mitch Quain

Mr. Quain brings to the Star Equity Holdings Board over 30 years of Wall Street experience in research, investment banking, and private equity. He is currently a member of the Executive Council of American Securities LLC, a private equity firm. He had previously held senior management positions at One Equity Partners, ACI Capital, and ABN AMRO. Mr. Quain is currently a Board member of AstroNova, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOT) and Williams Industrial Services Group (NASDAQ: WLMS). Previously, Mr. Quain served on the Boards of RBC Bearings Incorporated, Hardinge, Inc., Xerium Technologies, Inc., Magnetek, Inc., Tecumseh Products Company, DeCrane Aircraft Holdings, Inc., Handy & Harman, HEICO Corporation, Mechanical Dynamics, Inc., and Titan International, Inc. He also served as the Chairman of the Board of Register.com.

Mr. Quain has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Michael Cunnion - Star Equity Holdings

Michael A. Cunnion

Mr. Cunnion brings to the Star Equity Holdings Board an extensive history of leadership roles at healthcare companies. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Remedy Health Media, a privately held digital health platform serving consumers, care partners and healthcare professionals. Prior to joining Remedy Health Media in September of 2008, Mr. Cunnion led privately held HealthTalk, a leading online content provider for chronically ill patients and caregivers, until his successful exit in December of 2007. Mr. Cunnion started his career in healthcare at Smith & Nephew followed by WedMD where he played a role in the growth of the company’s brand and business. Mr. Cunnion is currently a Board member of the privately held Health-E Commerce and New York City Health Business Leaders. Mr. Cunnion has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Florida State University.

John W. Sayward

Mr. Sayward is a career healthcare and pharmaceutical executive. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Hera Pharmaceuticals Inc., a preclinical pharmaceutical business with a focus on cervical cancer. He was a Partner at Nippon Heart Hospital, LLC from September 2005 to January 2007 which was formed to build and manage cardiovascular care hospitals in Japan. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Sayward was the Executive Vice President and CFO of LMA North America Inc., a medical device business focused on patient airway management. From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Sayward served as the Executive Vice President of Finance and CFO and Treasurer at SICOR Inc., and was elected to their Board of Directors in 1998. Previous to the above, he served in various management positions with Baxter Healthcare. He received a B.A. in History from Northwestern University in 1973 and a Master of Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1975.

Mr. Gildea brings to the Star Equity Holdings Board over 30 years of experience investing in special situation debt and equity of small to middle market companies. Mr. Gildea is founding partner of Gildea Management Co., the General Partner of the Network Funds. The fund focused on investing in special situations primarily in U.S. public and private companies. Mr. Gildea’s previous experience includes a joint venture of Gildea Management with J.O. Hambro Capital Management Co. to manage accounts targeting high yield debt and small capitalization equities, and founder of Latona Europe, a joint venture based in Prague seeking restructuring opportunities in Central Europe. Before forming Gildea Management, Mr. Gildea managed the Corporate Services Group at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, an investment banking firm.

Mr. Gildea previously served on the Board and Board Committees of America Service Group, Inc., Amdura Corp., American Healthcare Management, Inc., America Opportunities Fund, Country Pure Juice, Gentek, Inc., General Chemical Group, Inc., Hain Food Group, Inc., International Textile Group, Inc., Konover Property Trust, Inc., Misonix, Inc., Shearers Foods, Sothic Capital, Sterling Chemicals, Inc., Trident North Atlantic Fund, and UNC, Inc.

Mr. Gildea received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Richard Coleman

Mr. Coleman brings to the Star Equity Holdings, Inc. Board more than 30 years of executive leadership experience with extensive expertise in business development, operational excellence, and acquisitions. He joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer in January 2022, became Chief Executive Officer in April 2022, and was elected to the Board of Directors in May 2022. Previously, Mr. Coleman was the President, CEO, and director of Command Center, Inc., a provider of flexible on-demand employment solutions; President, CEO, and director of Crossroads Systems, Inc., a global provider of data archive solutions; CEO of Vroom Technologies Inc.; Chief Operating Officer of MetroNet Communications; and President of US West Long Distance. He began his career as an Air Force Telecommunications Officer managing Department of Defense R&D projects. Mr. Coleman has served on the Boards of Hudson Global, Inc., Command Center, Inc., Crossroads Systems, Inc., Ciber, Inc., On Track Innovations Ltd., NTS, Inc., Aetrium, Inc., and Colorado’s Internet and Telecommunications Alliance.

Mr. Coleman received his M.B.A. from Golden Gate University and his B.S. in Management from the United States Air Force Academy. He is also a graduate of the USAF Communications Systems Officer School and Harvard University’s Strategic Marketing Management Program.
