Johns Hopkins To Utilize Digirad’s Solid-State TechnologySan Diego, CA - December 9, 2003 Digirad Corporation, the innovation leader in solid-state nuclear medicine products and services, announced today the execution of a lease agreement between Digirad Imaging Solutions (DIS), Digirad’s nuclear imaging services division, and the Johns Hopkins University. Johns Hopkins University, Division of Cardiology, now offers cardiac SPECT procedures in its outpatient satellite cardiology clinic, located in Whitemarsh, MD. Through the DIS leasing program, Johns Hopkins gains immediate access to Digirad’s solid-state technology and licensed personnel, enabling Johns Hopkins to improve patient services and cardiac imaging capacity.

Digirad’s lightweight, compact, portable camera design accommodates spaces as small as 7’ x 9’ without the need for room renovations. Additionally, studies demonstrate the upright imaging convention uniquely employed by DIS has ranked high in patient comfort, satisfaction and image quality.
